The crowd is cheering. The ball is in the air.
Swish! Michael Jordan scores again. The game is over.
But.
He’s not just winning games, he’s making history.
Michael Jordan is the greatest basketball player of all time. Some people think it might be LeBron James, but when you look at everything Jordan did, it’s clear why he’s still the best.
First of all, Jordan never lost in the NBA Finals. He went 6–0 and was the best player in every one of those championships. Michael Jordan never needed a Game 7 to win a title. That’s why he is so dominant.
Also, Jordan didn’t just score a lot he played amazing defense too. He was the best scorer in the league 10 times, and he even won Defensive Player of the Year, which is very rare for someone who also scores that much. He averaged over 30 points per game, which is the highest in NBA history.
And there’s more. Jordan played in the 1990s when basketball was much more physical. There were no easy fouls, and defenders could use their hands to push and grab. Even in that tough time, Jordan still dominated. Michael Jordan didn’t join a super team, he created one.
Off the court, he became a legend too. He made basketball popular all over the world and helped inspire millions of kids. Players like Kobe Bryant looked up to him, and LeBron James. Even today, people still wear his shoes and watch his highlights.
Some people say LeBron is the greatest because he has played longer and scored more total points. But greatness isn’t just about numbers. It’s about how you make people feel when they watch you. Jordan was fast, had a great IQ and never gave up. He made fans believe anything was possible.
So next time someone asks who the GOAT is, remember this:
Michael Jordan didn’t just play the game. He changed it.
And that’s why he’s still the greatest of all time.
