Asian ladybugs are part of the beetle family. Asian ladybugs live in America; they were introduced to our habitat in 1916. They have been seen in New Jersey, California, and New York. In the winter, they seek shelter in homes and inside buildings for comfort. People think they are harmless but they can cause serious harm to humans. People believe they can also give good luck. Asian ladybugs are harmful to people but some think they don’t cause harm and they are good luck and special to the society.
When Asian ladybugs bite people, they release a yellowish, pungent fluid into your flesh. Asian ladybugs can cause asthma, allergies and eye irritation when they bite, causing an allergic reaction to the person with those problems.
