Cherry blossom trees, or sakura trees symbolize new beginnings and the short but beautiful nature of life. They can be pink or white and don’t grow fruit and are celebrated with festivals like Japan’s Hanami. They are often bright pink or white, like a cotton candy cloud. These trees only bloom for a week or two.
Where Do They Come From?
- Cherry blossom trees are thought to be native to the Himalayas, in Asia
- Today, they grow in many places, including Japan, the United States, and Canada
Fun fact: Japan gave the U.S. more than 3,000 cherry blossom trees as a gift of friendship.
You can also eat them but you must prepare them properly! They are commonly used in Japanese cuisines!
My honest opinion about cherry blossom trees:
Cherry blossom trees are beautiful and unique in their own way!
